Slow Down & Tune In

January has a funny way of making us feel like we should already be sprinting. New goals, new plans, new versions of ourselves — all of it arrives at once. But here at Wildside, we believe winter invites something different.

It invites us to slow down.

This week at the winery is built around exactly that: quiet moments, meaningful connection, and giving yourself permission to linger a little longer than you normally would.

Wild Woman Book Club — Wednesday, January 14

Midweek, we gather for something deeply nourishing: Wild Woman Book Club. This month’s book, Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall, has been stirring a lot of reflection, emotion, and beautiful conversation — and Wednesday night is your chance to bring all of that into the room.

There’s no pressure to have finished every page. Come with a favorite passage, a thought, or simply curiosity. Add a glass of wine and a circle of thoughtful people, and it becomes something quietly powerful.

Wednesday · 6:30 PM · Free to attend

Silent Sips & Stories — Every Friday in January

Fridays at Wildside are soft on purpose.

Silent Sips & Stories is a drop-in reading night for anyone craving stillness at the end of the week. Bring a book, claim a cozy corner, and let the room be gentle. There’s no discussion and no agenda — just candlelight, pages turning, and wine if you’d like it.

Come for ten minutes or the whole evening. Silence is welcome. Conversation is optional.

Fridays · 4:30–7 PM

Cookies & Cats — Saturday, January 17

Saturday afternoon belongs to frosting, sugar, and our favorite winery cats. Cookies & Cats is a guided decorating class inspired by Weasley & Luna, where you’ll learn icing techniques and create a set of adorable cat-themed cookies to take home.

It’s relaxed, hands-on, and surprisingly meditative — with wine available to sip while you decorate.

Saturday · 2:00 PM · $60 per person

Tickets available at flourfarmcookies.com

Songwriter Sunday — Sunday, January 18

We end the week with something made for listening.

Songwriter Sunday is a low-key, come-and-go afternoon of original music, meaningful lyrics, and the stories behind the songs. Five talented songwriters — Bryce Taylor, Bud Ratliff, Reb Butler, Mela B, and Nate Jones — will take turns filling the room with music that’s meant to be heard, not rushed.

Bring a book, a friend, or just yourself. Settle in for one song or stay for the whole afternoon.

Sunday · 12–5 PM

Save the Date: Wolves, Wine & Witchy Wisdom — January 24 & 25

Looking ahead just one more weekend, something truly special is coming.

On January 24 & 25, Wildside partners with Wolf Run Rescue for Wolves, Wine & Witchy Wisdom — a magical, meaningful weekend where you can meet real wolves, enjoy live music, explore astrology and intuitive readings, and support an incredible local cause.

It’s one of those experiences you’ll remember long after the wine glasses are empty. Mark your calendar now — more details coming soon.

However you choose to spend your week — reading, decorating, listening, or simply sitting with a glass of wine — you’re always welcome here.

Slow down.

Sip something good.

Let January be gentle. 💜🍷
