The days after Christmas and before the New Year exist in a strange, tender pocket of time.
The rush has passed. The calendar hasn’t flipped yet. There’s less urgency, and more awareness of what we actually want to carry forward.
At Wildside Winery, we’re honoring this in-between moment by softening the landing into January — creating space for quiet, reflection, and yes, a little joy.
As we close out the year and prepare to step into the new one, we’re beginning January exactly how it feels right: intentionally.
Starting this Friday, January Fridays at Wildside are quiet by design.
Silent Sips & Stories is a recurring, drop-in reading night for anyone craving a calm place to land at the end of the week. Bring a book you’ve been meaning to read, settle into candlelight and cozy corners, and enjoy a glass of wine at your own pace.
There’s no discussion. No program. No pressure to socialize.
Silence is encouraged. Conversation is optional.
Come alone or together. Stay for ten minutes or the whole evening — whatever feels right.
This is not a book club. It’s an atmosphere.
Silent Sips & Stories takes place every Friday in January from 4:30 to 7:00 PM at Wildside Winery.
And because a new year isn’t meant to begin in silence alone, we balance the quiet with joy.
This Sunday, January 4, we’re easing into the year with an afternoon of smooth tunes and laid-back energy at our Yacht Rock Party, featuring Ben Lacy and Corey Cross live on the vineyard stage.
Expect familiar songs, easy conversation, and an afternoon that feels like a deep exhale.
The Yacht Rock Party takes place from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Wildside Winery in Versailles, Kentucky. Admission is free and the event is family-friendly.
You don’t have to rush into resolutions or reinvention.
Sometimes the best way to begin a new year is by choosing spaces that feel good — quiet when you need it, joyful when you’re ready.
